Thomas Lee Bryant

Obituary Date: Wednesday, September 7, 2022

Mr. Thomas Lee Bryant, age 83, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, September 9, 2022 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville. Dr. Tyler Smiley and Dr. Tom Smiley will officiate. Interment will follow at 3:30 pm in Social Circle at The Mitchell Family Cemetery.

Tom was born in Loganville, Georgia on July 10, 1939 to the late Jack and Irene Bryant. Tom was also preceded in death by his son, Lee Bryant, brother and sister, Charles and Betty Bryant and brother, Harold Bryant.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ann Bryant; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Todd Robson; grandchildren, Beau and Jenn Robson, Harlee and Carter Cagle, and Dallas Robson; great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Judson Robson and Ezra and Cruz Cagle and his sister, Dorothy Malcolm and many nieces and nephews.

Tom was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher.

Tom never met a stranger. For most of his life he sold Windows (wenders), he would say. In his retirement he led a handyman group lovingly referred to as “Three Men and a Hammer,” installing windows and doing other construction work. He is probably selling windows for all the mansions in Heaven today.

Tom loved boating, skiing and riding his Sea-doo. In earlier days he could be found on the lake skiing or teaching kids to ski all summer long. In the winter he traded his water skis for snow skis. Tom loved people and he would always share his time with others.

Tom aka “Pops” was a family man. He loved his wife of 61 years, Ann. He loved his daughter, Lisa and her husband Todd and all his grandkids and great-grandkids. He would attend all their sporting or other events to cheer them on. Many vacations were enjoyed with friends and family. Whether it was sneaking off with the guys to ride go karts or winning a twist contest Tom always had fun.
