Bobby Joe Walls

Mr. Bobby Joe Walls, 85, of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park North Riverside Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Osteen will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Park North Riverside Funeral Home.

Born on January 31, 1937 in Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Cliff Walls and the late Dessie Bell Walls. Mr. Walls a sheet metal mechanic for Cantrell Machine Company and a member of Oakwood Gospel Tabernacle.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Walls was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Martin Walls; son, Gary Miller; sister, Grace Walls, sister and brother in law, Elise and Gus Butler; sisters, Helen Boleman, Dianne Vinson; brothers, Ben Walls, Glendon Walls and Raid Walls.

Mr. Walls is survived by his daughter and son in law, Cathy and Fred Patton of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Steve and Gwen Miller of Alto; sister and brother in law, Margie and Bobby Ivey of Cumming; sister, Janice Roach of Lula; sisters in law, Mary Ann Walls of Gainesville, Martha Walls of Cumming; grandchildren, Michelle Price (Jay), Kyle Patton (Gloria), Allie Posten (Dustin); 6 great grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives.
