Katherine was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother.  She was married to Verner for 68 years.  She was always by her husband’s side, who pastored nine churches in North Georgia, and ministered to so many people.  She helped take neighbors and friends to the doctor, cared for relatives, visited the sick and grieved.  Katherine was considered one of the best cooks around.  So many people ate at her table.  In fact, the London house was many times like Grand Central Station.  It was the place to be for food, fellowship, laughter and support to those in need.  She wanted her family to put God first and expected her family to be in church.  Her greatest desire was that all her family knew the LORD.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at New Bridge Baptist Church.  The Rev. Phillip Robinson, the Rev. Les Fuller, the Rev. W.A. Jenkins, and the Rev. Lewis Fortner will officiate.  Interment will follow in New Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. & 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations can be made to the White County Gideons Camp – P.O. Box 946, Cleveland, GA 30528.
