Thomas Scott Hiers

Thomas Scott Hiers 62, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday September 3, 2022.

Born in Athens, Georgia, Mr. Hiers lived in Habersham County for a number of years before moving to Hall County.  He was the son of the late W.L. "Dub" Hiers, Jr. and Estelle Scott Hiers.  He was the owner and operator of The Country Cobbler Shoe Repair and was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years Angela "Angie" Hiers, Gainesville, son, Tyler Hiers, Gainesville, brother and sister-in-law, W. Lee Hiers, III (Anna), Hull, Ga., brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike Allison (Lynn), Gainesville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Atlas Medical Services for the loving care shown to Tom.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Susan Hiers Morris.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church.  Rev. James Kanady and Rev. Milton Harris will officiate.  Interment will follow in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Tuesday September 6, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday September 7 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
