Sarah Annette Elrod

Mrs. Sarah Annette Elrod, age 85, of Maysville, GA died Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Elrod was born in Commerce to the late Homer Jewel and Johnnie Mae Stephens Owensby. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and was retired from BJC Hospital and Maysville Elementary School. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Elrod was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Elrod, Jr.

Mrs. Elrod is survived by her daughter, Penny Elrod (Bob) of Maysville; son, Steven Elrod (Amy) of Maysville; sister, JoAnn Wofford (Willard) of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Ben Elrod (Andee), Garrett Presley and Sean Presley; and one great-grandson, Weston Elrod.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM, Sunday, September 4 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Bob Betz officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 to 3 PM.
