Mildred Alexander Barnes

Mildred Alexander Barnes, Age 84, of Cleveland passed away on August 25, 2022.

Mildred was born on August 2, 1938, in White County, Georgia to the late Charlie and Jessie Mae Alexander. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Alexander; son, Jerry Trigg; granddaughter Jessica Lambert, and grandsons, Brian Rich and James Matthew Mize.

Mildred was the owner of Barnes Greenhouse & Produce. For approximately 20 years Mildred was a nurse. In 1987 she grew tired of nursing people so she and her husband, Rondal, built their first greenhouse. Over the next several years, their business boomed. She grew all kinds of flowering plants, as well as vegetable plants, while still growing the best produce money could buy. Mildred served on the Hall County Farmers Market Board and she was also a member of Center Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Rondal Barnes; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Mary Trigg; daughters and son-in-law, Wanda Smith and Russell Wise; Janie and Gary Lambert; Nancy and John Cagle; and daughter-in-law, Donna Trigg; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Tony Cantrell; as well as nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. As well as Special Caregiver, Debbie Denson; and long time family friend Ron Cagle.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M Sunday at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev Gary Heffner will officiate. Interment will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M Saturday.
