Penelope L. “Penny” McCloud
On Friday, August 19, 2022 our beloved Mother and Nana passed away for reasons that are still difficult to understand, while also following a long battle with a rare disease. Even though that disease severely impacted her mobility, she continued to stay positive and full of life. She loved her family and always looked forward to seeing everyone together. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 at 4 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Danny Newbern from Zion Hill Baptist Church will officiate.
Penny is survived by her daughter, Stefanie Johnson with her Husband Greg of Hoschton, GA; Granddaughter-Kendall Johnson-Porter and Husband Devarus of Fort Oglethorpe; GA, Grandson- Garrett Johnson of Decatur,GA Sister- Marcia Beal of Punta Gorda, FL, Niece and Nephew- Leslie Cole and Darren Duckwall both of Westerville, OH.
Penny was born in Dayton, Ohio to Elizabeth (Miller) and Charles Blosser. She worked for and retired early from Dayton Power and Light before moving to the metro Atlanta area in 1984. She went on to work with many other organizations and make many friends over the years. She was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church, Buford, and a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved to shop and wear clothes that made a statement. It was her opinion that every outfit should make an entrance and she would want to be remembered back when she could do just that with a huge smile on her face.
Rest in Peace Mother
