Mr. Stuart Ransom Martin, age 49, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on August 9th, 2022 in Augusta, GA.
He was born March 28th, 1973 in Gainesville, GA. He was predeceased by his Father, David P. Martin and survived by his mother, Vicki R. Martin.
Stuart was a 1991 graduate of Gainesville High School and attended the University of South Carolina – Spartanburg on a full baseball scholarship. Highly acclaimed, Stuart was the Peach Belt Freshman Player of the Year. Prior to his college success, Stuart lead Gainesville teams to baseball championships under the tutelage of Coaches Tony Wolfe and Don Brewer who were two of his lifetime role-models.
Later in Life, Stuart held a variety of jobs and always set aside time to help his family who he loved dearly. Most of all, his longtime friends will remember him for his twinkling eyes, meaningless sarcasm and tender heart which he shared generously.
He is predeceased by his aunt Linda Montgomery and his cousin Kris Ransom.
Survivors include his brothers, Jeff Martin and Tim (Kristy) Martin. Also, his aunt and uncle, Ronnie and Carol Ransom, aunts, Bobbie Martin and Sue Martin as well as his niece, Emma Grace Martin. He has numerous cousins in his family.
A memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel on Riverside Dr. at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 27th, 2022. Clint Fair will be officiating.
