Magdeline Barnes Little

Magdoline Barnes Little was born on July 16,1952 in Jefferson, GA to the late parents Sarah Bailey and Ray Bailey. She was affectionately known as Maggie. She was a Native of Jackson County, GA with roots in Winder, GA. Maggie attended Brown High School in Jefferson, GA, after graduating, she worked at Russell Nursing home as a Nursing Assistant. She also worked at Cherokee Manufacturing as machine operator and at Thrall Car. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Winder; GA and she was a faithful worshiper of Jehovah. She remained a teacher of Jehovah’s word. Her faith meant the world to her and kept her grounded during her most difficult times. She was a phenomenal cook, and she was known to be one of the best cooks in her community. Her family and friends will greatly miss her delicious cakes and her famous macaroni and cheese. Magdoline went above and beyond to make others feel welcomed and comfortable. She truly embodied southern hospitality. She loved to host and cook big dinners for family gatherings. She always made sure to send food to all of her loved ones. Maggie enjoyed spending times outdoors and hosting cookouts, she was the best listener whenever you needed to talk, she shared so much wisdom. She was the best grandmother and spoiled all her grandkids with her cooking She was preceded in death to her late husband Monroe Little; son Christopher Lee Barnes; and a host of aunts and uncles whom she adored and cared for. She leaves to cherish her memories; siblings: George (Brenda) Borders, John Edward Young (deceased), Peggy Carruth, Larry (Linda) Bailey, Dorothy Rosser, Rufus Sims, Elaine (Jimmy) Carter, David Bailey, James (Stephanie) Bailey, Reggie Madison (deceased), Chris (Barbara) Madison, Claranel & Gunner, Denise Barnes, Thelma Smith; Children: Monethea Wells of Jefferson, GA, Christopher Lee Barnes (deceased) of Winder, GA, Lacecila and Warren Gerton of Cumming, GA, Andre Barnes and Tammy Watson of Winder, GA; Grandchildren: Christopher Jacks, Marquavious Barnes, Kentavious Browner, Sadondra Wells, Jabari Hill. Chrishun Barnes, India Wells, Ambrionna Atkism, Priscilla Flores; Great Grandchildren: Alexiz Jacks, Brison Jacks, Shane Jacks, Taylor Barnes, Jazlyn Hill; Special Friends: Juanita Jennings, Paulette Wright, Shirley Babcock, Sara Curlin, Shirley Reese and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held on Monday, August 22nd at White Oak Spring Baptist Church between the hours of 5-8pm. Magdoline's Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 23rd at the hour of 1pm at the Braselton Civic Center. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
