Charles Raymond Albertson, age 79, of Clermont, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
Mr. Albertson was born on January 18, 1943, in Dahlonega, Georgia, to the late T.J. and Mary Ray Albertson. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Albertson.
He was always a hardworking man and worked at Gainesville Cotton Mill for 25 years. Later on, he started a lawn care business and mobile home rental. After his retirement came, he had more time to hunt and fish, but still found time to work.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Helen Albertson; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Rev. Mark Gunter; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Reba Albertson; grandson and spouse, Cody and Lauren Gunter; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 18, 2022, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Skitts Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon – 2:00 P.M. Thursday, prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home.
