Thelma Hardy Thompson

Thelma Hardy Thompson was born June 19, 1928, at the age of 94 she entered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 13, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Thompson, Sr.; parents, Herbert L. Hardy and Kate Hardy Jones; sister, Jean Hardy Jones.  Thelma is survived by her children, Sheila (Charles) Jenkins of Talmo, Ga., Sharon (Johnny) Garcille of Loganville, GA, John (Tracey) Thompson, Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA; six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren; brother, Lamar (Julie) Hardy of Snellville, GA.; sisters, Shirley Mize of Loganville, GA., Jane Shabel of Hartwell, GA; sisters in law, Sandy Thompson of Lexington, KY; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service to celebrate the life of Thelma Hardy Thompson will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at New Testament Baptist Church, Loganville, GA. Burial at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM .  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA.  For those who wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers, you may do so to the New Testament Baptist Church Building Fund, 2165 Broadnax Mill Road, Loganville, GA 30052, in memory of Thelma Hardy Thompson.
