Glennis Willene O'Neal

On Friday August 5, 2022 Glennis Willene O’Neal’s faith became sight. She entered heaven at the Cedarhurst Nursing Home. She was 90. 

Gleenis was born January 27, 1932 in Ludowici, Georgia. She lived in Atlanta Metro, Buford and then made Gainesville home for a number of years. She was a Law clerk for Emory University, but fondly known for her acting. She enjoyed portraying Margaret Thatcher on stage as one woman actress Iron Lady. She was one of the first students to study at the Academy Theatre in Atlanta. From there she went to New York for study at the American Theatre Wing, which led to Summer Stock & the beginning of private club singing. She then began travel as an international travel rep. Most importantly, she was a devout Christian. She was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center. Glennis loved & served the Lord Jesus. She would begin her mornings singing, talking in tongues & praising her Lord Jesus. On August 5, 2022, she heard “Well Done thy good & faithful servant” & she is now dancing & singing on the streets of Gold in Heaven.

Left to cherish memories, close friend Corky Hamilton, as well as a massive number of friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday August 11, 2022 at the Chapel on McEver with Pastor James Glutting & Rev. Rick Kruger will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

Glennis would leave you with this, and we quote her words “You can dilly and you can dally, but there comes a day when you have to pay the tally”.
