Jeffrey Douglas Byrd

Mr. Jeffrey Douglas Byrd, 58, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born January 6, 1964 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Rose Cole Trammel and the late Silas Byrd. He was a very proud Pa to his five grandsons.

In addition to his father, Mr. Byrd was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Byrd; grandmother, Clara Byrd.

Mr. Byrd is survived by his daughter and son in law, Angela and Vince Hockman of Nicholson, GA; son and daughter in law, Drew and Amber Byrd of Nicholson, GA; mother, Rose Trammell of Gainesville; grandsons, Masen Hockman, Ethan Hockman, D.J. Byrd, Noah Byrd, Chance Byrd; sister, Jackie Barnes of Gainesville; brother and sister in law, Jerry and Tricia Byrd of Franklin, IN; niece, Carly Byrd; nephews, Robert Walden, Matthew Byrd, Zach Byrd; 2 great nieces; 2 great-nephews and a number of other loving relatives.
