Bobby William Evans

Mr. Bobby William Evans, age 88, of Commerce, GA died Saturday, August 6, 2022 at his residence.  Mr. Evans was born in Commerce to the late Willie Cleve and Johnnie Lou Lord Evans.  He was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army.  Mr. Evans was retired from Gold Kist after a 30 year career.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Nichols Evans; and son, Jeff Evans.

Mr. Evans is survived by his daughters, Debbie Crawford (Gordon) and Natalie Pinson (Randy) both of Commerce; sons, Mike Evans (Donna), Scott Nichols (Kate) both of Commerce, and Ken Evans (Karen) of Maysville; sister, Nadine Waters (Roger) of Commerce; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Monday, August 8 at Beaverdam Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 7 PM.  Mr. Evans will lie in state at the church on Monday from 1:30 PM until funeral time.
