Don Mitchel Lewis

Don Mitchel Lewis, age 60, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Mr. Lewis was born on November 14, 1961, to the late Ed and Ethel Christy Lewis.  He was a native of Cleveland and lived his entire life in the Shoal Creek Community.  In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla Reid; and brother, Bill Lewis.

Survivors include his wife, Lesa Griffin; son, Kris Lewis; grandchildren, Ginger Lewis, Charity Hogan, Calli Reid, Rose Griffin, and Henry Griffin; numerous extended family members also survive.

Don held many occupations throughout his lifetime; including working at J&J Foods, Clarks Swabel, as a carpenter, a mechanic, and a jack of all trades.  Those who met him were gifted with a smile and a story.  He was also known by his blue ’69 Camaro, which was his baby since his teenage years.

Don loved his family and especially his grandchildren.  He was a fighter until the very end, making choices to extend his time as best he could.

Memorial services are scheduled for 4:30 P.M. Sunday, August 7, 2022, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. Chris Anderson and Mr. Scott Seabolt will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 4:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the memorial service.
