Mrs. Faye Nell Murray Smith, age 82 of North Red Rock Road, Toccoa passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.
A daughter of the late Floyd and Louise Matthews Murray, she was born April 29, 1940 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was retired from Gem Southeast with a number of years of service. After her retirement, she became a caregiver. She was a member of Bethel Holiness Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, loved her church family, loved to shop for a bargain and loved to cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Watson Smith in 2021, by a son, Dale Watson Smith and by four siblings, Vernon Murray, Donnie Murray, Dan Murray and Brenda Carter.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Daniel Kellar of Eastanollee, Buffie Steele of Toccoa and Saprina and Wesley Ayers of Eastanollee; grandchildren, Candi Spencer, Michael Stone, Jesse Steele, Savannah Ayers and Skyler Ayers; brothers and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Lorene Murray of Clarkesville and Billy Murray of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 8, 2022, 4 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Doug Saylors and The Reverend Gettys Allen officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Michael Stone, Jeff Carter, Billy Hallford, Adam Brown, Wesley Ayers and Daniel Kellar.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Ralph Goss officiating.
