Ralph Gilmer

Ralph Gilmer, affectionately known as Jitter, was born on January 31, 1948 and departed on July 28, 2022. He attended E.E. Butler High School. His love for cars led him to study mechanics at Lanier Technical Institute. He is a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea.
Jitter is predeceased by his father and mother, L.C. and Ruth Wilson Gilmer, daughter, Michelle Riley, special niece, Sharon Gilmer, and a dear friend, Gail Reed.
His survivors include his daughter and son, Crystal and Quentin Ash of Gainesville, GA; sisters Mary Alice (John) Harris of Atlanta, GA, Carolyn (Jip) Goss of Alto, GA, Diane (Hiriam) Hepburn, Doris (Allen) Shelton, Delores, Vera, Ethel, and Angela Gilmer of Leesburg, FL; brothers Edward (Doretha) Gilmer , Alvin (Michelle) Gilmer , Tony and Chico Gilmer of Leesburg, FL; grandson and granddaughter, Jacques Ash and Madison Lipscomb. Also, surviving is a special brother-in-law, Jerry Goss, and nephews, Tyrone Gilmer and Jerry Goss, Jr. Mr. Gilmer's Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 6th between the hours of 12-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home.
