Ruth Wetherford Cagle

Ruth Wetherford Cagle, age 89, of Lula entered heaven Monday August 1, 2022 at her residence.

Ruth was born in Gainesville on April 14, 1933 to the late Roy Vernon & Era Lozeffa Jones Wetherford. She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Gainesville & had worked at Gainesville Mill. She loved her church and loved quilting and gardening. Ruth’s main focus in life was to take care of “Her Man”.

Left to cherish precious memories, husband of 72 years, Curtis Cagle; sister, Eva Mae Cantrell; brother, Roy Lee Wetherford; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services honoring Ruth will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Hutchins officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
