David Mark McCurry

Mr. David Mark McCurry, age 61 of Highway 106, Toccoa passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia, Georgia.

A son of the late Charles Allen McCurry and Nannie Ree Young McCurry, he was born April 4, 1961 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived in Duluth, Georgia before moving to Toccoa.  He was a graduate of Duluth High School.  He was employed with Auto Zone Distribution and was a member of Safe Harbor Church of God.  He also attended New Beginnings Church in Martin.  He supported the Canine Association for Police Dogs.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby McCurry and by a sister, Dianne McCurry.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Teresa Holland McCurry; sister, Donna McCurry of Gainesville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Gary Carter of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 29, 2022, 11 o’clock a.m. at Safe Harbor Church of God with The Reverend Ralph Smith and The Reverend Blaine Gossett officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kevin McCuen, Brad York, Mike McCurry, Anthony McCurry, Blake Holland and Chris Carter.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. David Mark McCurry.
