JoAnn Luke May

JoAnn Luke May, age 70, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022.  She is survived by her husband and loving companion of thirty years, James “Jim” May of Lawrenceville, GA; brother, Brian (Ann) Luke of Frederick, MD; sister, Sandy (Harry) Hardy of Bradenton, FL; mother-in-law, Kathleen May of Florida; sisters-in-law, Karen (Mark) Smith of Vero Beach, FL, Natalie Brown of Florida, Kathy May of Florida; brother-in-law, Carl (Barbara) May of Florida; several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. May was born on February 27, 1952 in Montreal, Canada and graduated from Cal State University Dominquez Hills with a bachelor’s degree.  She was a professional trainer for Southern Company in Atlanta as well as other companies.  Mrs. May was a member of the Life Group Sunday School class at North Metro First Baptist Church, Lawrenceville. GA.   A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Frank Cox.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “Hope for the Journey,” the Cancer Ministry at North Metro Baptist Church, 1026 Old Peachtree Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30043,  attn: Becky Guffey.
