Betty Ann Nichols Cain

Betty Ann Nichols Cain, age 89, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Billy R. Cain; grandson, Nicholas Cain; parents, James David “Boss” Nichols, Bertha E. Frady Nichols, siblings, Hazel Marie Tillow, John Henry Nichols, Barbara A. Walker, Willene Elizabeth Hyatt. She is survived by her sons, Jon Randolph Cain, Chatsworth, GA, William David (Melanie) Cain, Flowery Branch, GA, Joseph Paul Cain, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Stephanie Berl, Joanna Howell; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kitty Sue (Bob) Dodd, Boling Green, KY, Gloria Jean (Larry Corbin, Buford, GA, Wanda Kay (Terry) Smith, Cumming, GA; brothers, James Ronald (Jean) Nichols, Buford, GA, Douglas Ray (Kim) Nichols, Buford, GA.  Host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  And she was well loved by her church family at Buford Church of God.  Mrs. Cain was born March 28, 1933 in Cumming, GA and grew-up in The Sharon Community.  She received her education from Forsyth County High School, Cumming, GA.  She was a homemaker but was also very dedicated and an active Elder and member of Buford Church of God where she was a secretary and taught Sunday School.  She was a member at the church for 66 years where she sang in the choir.  She served her community at the Polls, speared Mission Projects and giving to local and foreign missions.  Mrs. Cain was a dedicated wife, mother and servant of the Lord.  She was the Nichols Family Matriarch and mentored many others.  A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Buford Church of God with Pastor Joey Grizzle officiating. She will lie in state at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA The family will receive friends at Buford Church of God from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022 and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022.  In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Buford Church of God, Buford, GA.
