Albert "Al" White Hudgins

Mr. Albert “Al” White Hudgins, Jr. age 75 of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022.   

Celebration of Life services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, July 22, 2022 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 pm prior to the service. Reverend Jamey Prickett will officiate.   

Al was born January 8, 1947 in Gainesville, GA to the late Albert and Lillian (Ashford) Hudgins. 

He was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. Al was a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church. He attended Gainesville High School, Presbyterian College and University of West Georgia. He was an Eagle Scout of Troop 16. Al was also a past member of the Gainesville Jaycees and served as its President in 1979-1980. He retired from City Plumbing and Electric Company of Gainesville.

Al is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gwen Estes Hudgins;

Daughters, Jennifer Stowe (Jeff) and Amy Forrester (Josh). 

Grandchildren Ally and Bo Roberts, Hunter Forrester (Harlee) and Marshall Forrester, Katie Jennings (Zac) and Taylor Stowe (Mollie) all of Gainesville. 

great-grandchildren, Emma Reece, Luke Jennings and Alivia Jennings; brother Charles Hudgins (Carole) of Gainesville, Nancy Greene of Stone Mtn. And Alice Connelly of Lilburn and a number of nieces & nephews. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gainesville United Methodist Church Boy Scout Troop 16, 2780 Thompson Bridge Road Gainesville, Georgia 30501 or Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 743 Spring Street, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
