Betty Jane Grogan

Betty Jane Grogan, 84, of Cumming, GA passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Lanier Place, Cumming, GA.  She was born in Dawsonville, GA to the late Robert William and Emmi Lou Carlisle.  Betty was a member of Mayfield Baptist Church, Forsyth County, GA. She was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County.  She was a poultry farmer for 30 plus years.  She loved to travel, camping, and spending time in the outdoors, especially in her garden.  Betty enjoyed most of all spending time with her family. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Edward Grogan; brothers, Bennie William Carlisle, Billy Gene Carlisle, John “Buck” William Carlisle, James Jr. Carlisle; sister, Eunice May Carlisle Ingram.

She is survived by her children, Mary and Buddy Hembree of Cumming, GA, Ann and Joey Mullinax of Cumming, GA, Sandra and David Perkins of Dawsonville, GA, David and Amber Grogan of Dawsonville, GA, Tammy and Wendell Densmore of Dawsonville, GA; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, Dawsonville, GA, with the Reverends, Leonard W. Ridings and Ruel Martin officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Crossroads Baptist Church, Cumming, GA.

The family will receive friends on Friday, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
