Mrs. Carolyn Sue Dunagan Garrett, 78, of Pendergrass, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Rusty Newman will officiate and Mr. Adam Hicks will read a poem. Interment will follow at Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 20th from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Born on February 28, 1944 in Winder, GA she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lois Peace Dunagan. She was self-employed as a beautician and was a member of Walnut Fork Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her husband, Dorson Richard Garrett; sisters, Arylen (Curtis) Jarrard, Billie Nell (George) Harbin; brothers, Clyde (Edna) Dunagan, Charles (Mae) Dunagan, Julian (Frances) Dunagan and Steve Dunagan; and grandchild, Lacey Paige Love.
Mrs. Garrett is survived by her daughter, Brenda Pritchett of Pendergrass; daughters and sons In law, Annette and Gary Purdy of Pendergrass, Sandra and Rex Dauler of Greensboro, Tina and Mike Queen of Lula; daughter, Angela Love of Homer; grandsons and wives, Adam and Sylvia Hicks, Tad and Latosha Hicks, Trent and Mary Kate Dauler, Tyler and Courtney Dauler; granddaughters and husbands, April Purdy (Trey), Alecia Purdy, Jacie Love (Bradley), grandson, Hunter Queen; 13 great grandchildren; sisters in law, Cheryl Dunagan, Rachel Dunagan, Virginia Roberts, and dozens of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Garrett will be Adam Hicks, Tad Hicks, Trent Dauler, Tyler Dauler, Hunter Queen, Cooper Dorsey and Jed Dauler. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rex Dauler, Gary Purdy, Mike Queen and David Ivester.
