Terri "Denise" (House) Garcia

Mrs. Terri “Denise” (House) Garcia, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend died peacefully surrounded by her family in July 14, 2022, at the age of 63, from complications following surgery for colon cancer.

“Denise” was born in Gainesville, Georgia on May 15, 1959, to her parents, Dan and Betty (Pritchett) House. In her teenage years, she was the organist for Westside Baptist Church, where she cultivated a lifelong love for gospel music. As a young adult, she worked at Army Camp Frank D. Merrill, where she met her husband, Juan Garcia, started their life together in Georgia, before moving to Washington State and North Carolina to follow Juan’s military relocations. In 1997, she returned to Georgia with Juan and her family, where she began a 23-year career working as a deputy clerk in the Hall County Probate Court. Denise will be greatly missed and remembered for her love of gospel music, books, cross-stitching, and family barbecues.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Juan Garcia, sons Nicholas Garcia and his wife Lauren, Brandon Garcia and his wife Cassandra, Trey Garcia and his wife Hannah, parents Dan and Betty House, sister Angie Wilson and husband Steve, nephew Daniel Wilson and wife Hannah, niece Brittany Fowler and husband Ben, five adoring grandsons, Nolan, Everett, Micah, Liam, and Grant, and a host of loving aunts and uncles.

The family invites friends and family to celebrate Denise’s life on July 17, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm during visitation at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel 989 Riverside Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30501. A private family funeral will be held at her graveside at 11:00 am Monday July 18, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. James Ramsey and Reverend Trey Garcia will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Kidney Fun 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
