Carl Puckett, age 97, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years, Mildred Morgan Puckett; son, Carl Kent Puckett, Sr; parents, Homer and Alma Forrester Puckett; and brothers, Gladston Puckett and Ray Puckett. Mr. Puckett is survived by son, Harry (Amy) Puckett of Cornelia, GA; grandson, Kent Puckett, Jr and wife, Jessie of Buford; step grandchildren, Haley and Josh Powell of Clarkesville, GA and Brandon Tolbert of Cornelia, GA; great granddaughter, AnnaBelle Powell; sisters-in-law, Claudean Morgan Garrett and Edna Pugh Puckett both of Buford; brother-in-law, Dr. Harold Morgan of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Puckett was born on May 25, 1927 in Buford, GA, and graduated from Sugar Hill High School in Sugar Hill, GA. Carl and his wife Mildred M. Puckett were owners of Buford Lumber and Supply Company in Buford for over fifty years. He was a charter member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Buford. Mr. Puckett’s passions were farming, tractors, and staying busy. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Mr. Dale Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9.
