Mrs. Evelyn Carol Carpenter Conley, age 76 of Riley Street, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Marshall Carpenter and Mary Blaine Carpenter, she was born October 5, 1945 in Franklin, North Carolina having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She worked in food service as a cook for a number of years. She was a member of Hill Street Baptist Church where she served as a nursery worker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Williams.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Fred Conley, Sr. of the home; four daughters, Ann Vinson, Mary Hubbell, Tammy Conley and Evelyn Moore all of Toccoa; sons, Fred, Conley, Jr. and Robert Conley both of Toccoa; thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Simpson of Franklin, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 8, 2022, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Butch Franklin officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jimmy Vinson, Alex Ivester, Kyle Eller, Chris Stone, Justin Eller and Todd Stone.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from noon until the service time at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Evelyn Carol Conley.
