Nikki Anne Schwaller, 68, of Buford, Georgia died on June 29, 2022. Ms. Schwaller was born on November 9, 1953 in Cleveland, OH but grew up in Orange, CT before moving to Dunwoody, GA in 1967. She was a graduate of Peachtree High School class of 1972 and was a loyal fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Ms. Schwaller was a hard working single mother and raised 4 beautiful children who are all deeply saddened by her sudden passing from COVID-19 complications. Despite her many health challenges which made Nikki quite fragile, she was a fighter with a strong will to survive. She was a free-spirited lady, naturally artistic, creative and shared a wisdom beyond her years. She loved to laugh and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her children or to share her gifts and talents with her family. Ms. Schwaller had a gentle soul who was passionate about animals and shared a deep connection with her dearly beloved pets. She was an avid gardener who loved growing flowers, basking in the sun and taking time to slow down and admire the beauty of nature.
Ms. Schwaller is preceded in death by her parents Ella Jeanne (Silver) and John N. Schwaller of St. Simons Island, GA as well as her older brother J. Michael Schwaller of Woodstock, GA. She is survived by her beloved children, Jennifer J. Hagen of Buford, GA; Christopher N. Hagen of Acworth, GA; Michael G. Hagen of Dacula, GA; Elizabeth J. (Hagen) Reilly and son-in-law Daniel R. Reilly of Tampa, FL as well as her 4 cats that were all so very near and dear to her heart. She is also survived by her loving younger sister, Barbara J. Schwaller of Dacula, GA; brother, J. Bradley Schwaller of Aberdeen, MD; as well as several cousins and their families.
Due to the COVID-19 illness status of several members of her immediate family, Ms. Schwaller will be cremated and the Hagen-Schwaller family will be planning a private memorial service in lieu of a formal funeral, which will be scheduled at a later date. Please reach out to members of her family for additional details on the date and location.
