Linda Kay Dodd, age 60 of Mount Airy, Georgia, took her Heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
Born in Cleveland, Georgia on December 05, 1961, she was a daughter of Gracie Mae Nelms Cagle McAlum of Cleveland & the late Curtis Estes Nelms. Linda married Keith Dodd on December 06, 1997 and together they made their home in Mount Airy for many years. She especially loved her “critters.” Linda was a member of Chopped Oak Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Dwayne Bryant; brother-in-law, Kenneth Gabrels; step-fathers, Roscoe Cagle & Lonnie McAlum.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her loving husband of 25 years, Keith Dodd of Mount Airy, GA; sisters & brothers-in-law, Sylvia & Pete Harris of Murrayville, GA; Willene Gabrels & Jorge Guillen of Mount Airy, GA; Debra & Michael Gabrels of Clarkesville, GA; mother-in-law, Lynda Dodd & sister-in-law, Kelly Dewberry both of Mount Airy, GA; nephew, Ricky Gabrels of Clarkesville, GA; niece & husband, Amy & Arnold Prince & great-niece, Hayley Prince all of Dawsonville, GA; as well as other relatives, & a host of friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 02, 2022 at Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville, Georgia with Rev. Bill Trotter & Rev. Scott Slaton officiating. Interment will follow in the Chopped Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour on Saturday.
