Virginia Jean Whobrey

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Virginia Jean Whobrey, age 91, of Jefferson, Georgia, who entered rest on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Mrs. Whobrey was born in Dorset, Ohio the daughter of the late Rufus and Jean Spencer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Herbert Whobrey and a brother, Bob Spencer.

Mrs. Whobrey was a retired teacher with the Jefferson, Ohio School System after thirty years and worked at the Dayton Mental Health Center, Dayton, Ohio.

Survivors include three sons, Everett Whobrey (Teresa) of Jefferson, GA, Gene Whobrey of Swannee, GA and Ray Whobrey (Sandy) of Saint Cloud, FL. Daughter, Antonieta Pfenning (Doug) of Dayton, Ohio. Five grandchildren, Anthony Whobrey, Jack Whobrey, Spencer Whobrey (Rya), Skylar Whobrey and Samantha Whobrey. Four great grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday July 5, 2022 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home.
