Betty Goble Alexander

Betty Goble Alexander, 82, of Cumming, GA passed away on June 28, 2022.

She was preceded in death by parents, Buster and Ruby Goble; her loving husband of over 40 years, Kenneth Alexander; and brother, Willard Goble. Mrs. Alexander is survived by son, David Alexander of Cumming; sister, Nell Campbell of Warner Robins, GA; brothers, Jerry (Charlotte) Goble of Dalton, GA and Terry (Joann) Goble of Calhoun, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and a number of other relatives. Betty was born on December 27, 1939 in Calhoun, GA and graduated from Redbud High School in Calhoun.

She retired from Bellsouth after thirty years, but soon realized that retirement wasn’t for her, so she went back into the workforce as a part-time weight loss counselor.

Betty was a proud member of John’s Creek UMC. She loved being active in her church and and enjoyed all the friendships made there.

Betty was a social butterfly, being always occupied going out with friends and family. She was a caring, thoughtful, and generous wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain, GA. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 prior to the Service.
