Leoneve P. Whitmire

Mrs. Leoneve P. Whitmire, 87, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Don Ormsbee will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday June 30th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Born on October 26, 1934 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Peck and the late Evelyn House Peck. She was retired from Bell South where she was an operator. Mrs. Whitmire was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitmire was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Whitmire.

Mrs. Whitmire is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kathy and Charlie Martin of Jefferson; daughter, Teresa Whitmire of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Chuck and Elaine Whitmire of Watkinsville; Joshua Martin,  grandson of Atlanta; Justin and Carina Martin, grandson and wife of Atlanta and a number of other loving relatives.
