Thomas Brent Binkley, 75 of Duluth, GA passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24th, 2022. Brent was preceded in death by his bride, Bette "BJ" Binkley, his parents Dudley and Gladys Binkley (Abernathy), and his brother, Dudley Jay Binkley. Brent was born September 3rd, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Southwest Dekalb High School in 1964. He proudly served our country during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star. Brent founded the softball ministry at Norcross First United Methodist Church and loved the sport playing into his seventies. He is survived by his sister, Nina Peterson, his loving children, Jeff and Jaymie Binkley of Jacksonville, Erin and Lonnie White of Hoschton, Jennifer and Ian Payne of St. Petersburg, and Melanie and Michael Siragusa of Kennesaw. Brent was adoringly known as Papa to his grandchildren, Brooke Binkley, Brady Binkley, Sarah Grace White, Lonnie White, Hannah "Libby" White, Liam Payne, Emma Payne, Joshua Schmidt (Bradlee) and Matthew Siragusa. Brent was very devoted to his family and will be missed greatly. His family finds comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his Bride. There will be a Celebration of Life and Love for Bette and Brent at Camp Glisson later this year where Brent will be laid to rest with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Wounded Warrier Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate or the North Georgia Camp and Retreat Ministries to be sent to 690 Camp Glisson Road, Dahlonega, GA 30533 in memory of Thomas Brent Binkley.
