Mr. John Robert “Tobe” Dockery, age 78, of Dahlonega, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Dockery was born in Forsyth County to the late H.R. and Umie Woody Dockery. In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Patricia Ravan Dockery; son, Bobby Dockery; granddaughters, Crystal Dockery and Daisy Dockery; brother, David Dockery; sisters, Ruth Turner and Nora Ellis; In laws, Pauline and Jewell Ravan, Don Ravan, Joan and Glenson Lee and Dudley Ralston.
Mr. Dockery was a truck driver and a member of Cradle Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Ricky Butler and Christy and Ricky Bell, all of Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Sheree Dockery, Cleveland; daughter-in-law, Tammy Dockery; brother and sister-in-law, William and Juanita Dockery, Cleveland; sister-in-law, Lillian Dockery, Cleveland; brother-in-law, Tim and Renae Ravan, Cleveland; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Rev. Wayne McKinney and Rev. Jody Winkler will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the funeral home.
