Melinda Vannerson Parmer, 68, of Buford, GA, died Monday, June 13, 2022 after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Melinda is survived by her husband, Joel Parmer of Buford; daughter, Alison Breedlove (Jeremy) of Buford; grandchildren, Blakely and River; brother, David Vannerson (Glenda) of Monroe; nephews, Kyle Vannerson (Melissa) of Monroe, and Drew Vannerson (Lindsey) of Monroe; all of her fur babies. Melinda, a 4th generation Atlantan, was born in Atlanta, GA and was a lifelong resident of the metro area. She graduated from Peachtree High School, Class of 1973. Shortly after graduating she started her 30-year banking career with Trust Company/SunTrust. After retiring from banking, she was caretaker for her father and started a second career with Ameriprise Financial. She retired again in 2020 to be a full-time grandmother, pet lover and chicken farmer. Melinda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
