Eleanor Daniels Banks

Eleanor Daniels Banks 76 of Gainesville, Ga passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Northeast Ga Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Banks was born on February 24, 1945, in St. Petersburg, FL to the late Cortez and Louise Daniels.

Eleanor attended Fair Street, and E.E. Butler High School. She worked at Warren Featherbone for 24 years and also Beaulieu for 37 years formally known as Coronet Carpets. She was a member of Atlanta Road Church of Christ.

Some of Eleanor’s hobbies were, she loved to cook/bake, to sew, skating, and her family. She was always such a hard worker, and you would always see Eleanor with a smile on her face.

Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by her husband Henry (Skeet) Lee Banks. One son Henry Lee Jr., and her sister Jacqueline Smith.

Eleanor is survived by her daughters Madelyne (Travis) Lott, Teresa (Darryl) King, and LeQuitta Banks all of Gainesville, sisters Cortess Hughey of Gainesville, Theresa (Jeff) Rohr, Carla (Robert) Montermayer, Nina (Keith) Shepard, and Colleta Burrough. One brother Mr. Bo J. Cortez. 7 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be hold on Saturday, June 18,2022 at Hillside Chapel at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17,2022 between the hours of 12:00PM-8:00PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
