Lois Marie "Ree" Adams

Mrs. Lois Marie “Ree” Adams, age 74, of Dahlonega, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Ree was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on June 3, 1948, to the late Charles Franklin and Mildred Wood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Harry Wood, sister-in-law Carol Ann Crossley and son-in-law E.G. Lorens.

On October 20, 1967, Ree would marry her beloved husband, J.C., and they raised two wonderful children. She remained soft and patient through all of life’s twists and turns. Ree understood the power of forgiveness and always gave more than she ever took. She was the rock of her family. Ree fought a courageous battle with cancer; when asked how she was, “I’m fine” was her response. Ree taught her family to give and receive love, and her response to “I love you” was “I love you back.” She was a beloved wife, mama, and “Grammy” and will be deeply missed.

Missing her most will be her beloved husband of 54 years, J.C. Adams, Dahlonega; daughters Kristine Marie Lorens, Asheville, NC; Cynde Michele Adams, Cumming; granddaughter Ellie Marie and brother-in-law Ron Crossley, Cleveland.

Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Tally will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
