Jeannie Burtz Penland

Mrs. Jeannie Burtz Penland, 68, of Gainesville passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Wednesday, June 8th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on December 4, 1953 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Burtz and the late Martha Beacham Burtz. A graduate of Florida State University, she was a financial advisor and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Penland is survived by her husband, Jerry Penland of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Will Clifton and Kimberly Penland of Gainesville; daughter Amy Liana Damera of Cleveland; sister and brother in law, Martha and Randy Hale of Hiawassee; grandchildren, Rhett Damera, Cora Damera, Riley Angel Penland and a number of other loving relatives.
