Delores Turner

Obituary Date: Monday, June 6, 2022

Ms. Delores Turner was born on September 11th, 1947 in Gainesville, Ga to the late Iola Gilmore and Robert Forston of Gainesville, Ga. She attended Butler School System in Gainesville Ga.

Delores was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church under Rev.Keya Hillman. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to John W Turner in 1963 until 1981. She was the mother of three daughters and multiple step kids.

Wherever Delores lived she was known for her heart of gold and her open arms. She loved working with her Burger King family which she was an employee for 20+ yrs. Her favorite things to do was to cook, watch reality tv, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her loved ones.
Delores is preceded in death by her mother, Iola Gilmore; father, Robert Forston; daughter, Valerie Turner; nephews, Chris and Derek Forston.

She leaves to mourn: her sister, Brenda Thompson (Pa); her daughters, Renae Thomas (Ga), Michelle Turner (Ga); her step kids: Russell Wilson (Ga), Perdita (Erika) Simmons (Sc), Monique Adams(Ga); her grandchildren: Larry Thomas (Ga), Tiffany (late Maurice) Perry (Nc), Raven Thomas (Nc), JonTasia Turner (Ga), Lakia, Tylika, Jariah, Mimi, Precious, Dj; her great grandchildren: Kaleigha (Tootie), Ki’Mora, Major; her nieces and nephews: Tonia (Keith) Cooper (Pa), Erica Forston (Pa), Eric Forston (Pa), William Forston (Pa); her forever son: Jimmy Parks (Ga) and a host of family and friends.
 
The visition will be held Monday, June 6th between the hours of 12-8 at Wimberly Funeral Home. The family will receive between 6-8pm. Ms. Turner's Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, June 7th at the hour of 1pm at St Paul UMC. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
