Robert J. Nichols

Robert J. Nichols, age 85, of Suwanee, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Nellie Moore Nichols; parents, Greenville and Geneva Fowler Nichols; brothers and sisters.  Mr. Nichols is survived by his daughter Sheila Hicks (Donald) of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Alisha Parks (Trey) of Crawford, GA, Ronnie Hicks (Brittany) of Suwanee, GA, Danny Hicks (Savanna) of Arnoldsville, GA; great-grandchildren, Bodie Parks, Miller Parks, Oliver Hicks; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mr. Nichols was born on October 24, 1936 in Cumming, GA and attended school in the Forsyth Co. School system.  He retired after working for Publix at Laurel Springs, Suwanee, GA.  Mr. Nichols was also a sawmiller in the wood industry and of the Baptist faith.  A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev Terry Garrett officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Suwanee, GA.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA.
