James Richard McCrary

Mr. James Richard McCrary, 87, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Northside Forsyth.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. James Elrod will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park on Monday, June 6th from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on March 27, 1935 in Murrayville, he was the son of the late Candler Thompson McCrary and the late Marguerite Whelchel McCrary. He was retired from the farming and grading industry. Mr. McCrary was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McCrary was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Bonita McCrary; brother, Ralph McCrary and sister, Sarah Conner.

Mr. McCrary is survived by his loving wife, Mary Light McCrary of Gainesville; sons, Dennis McCrary, Danny McCrary, Darryl McCrary all of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Dwayne and Heather McCrary of Gainesville; son, Donald McCrary of Gainesville; grandchildren, Josh and Stasha McCrary, Jessica and Drew Miles, Micayla McCrary, Breasha McCrary, Keeley McCrary, Dallas McCrary, Audrey McCrary- great grandchildren, Oliver Miles, Luka Miles and a number of other loving relatives.
