Joseph Lamar “Jody” Lackey

Joseph Lamar “Jody” Lackey, 53, of Auburn, GA passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Cara Eidson and Rev. Hugh and Sarah Lackey; and his aunt, Ann Christopher.

Jody is survived by his parents, Rev. Henry and Barbara Ann Lackey of Auburn, GA; aunts and uncles, Ralph and Debbie Whigham of Dacula, GA, Viola McClure and Sanford Pruitt of Flowery Branch, GA, and Wilson Christopher of Lawrenceville, GA. Several cousins also survive.

Jody was born September 12, 1968 in Duluth, GA. He received his education at Hi Hope School and graduated from Oakland High School class of 1989. His pride and joy was attending church, and he also enjoyed fishing and going out to eat. Jody was well loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Calvert and Rev. Scott Christopher officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Eidson Cemetery located on Winter’s Chapel Rd. in Doraville, GA. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM Thursday, June 2, 2022.
