Maude B. Harben, 96, of Dawsonville passed away Friday May 27, 2022 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born January 16, 1926, Maude was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. A member of Juno Baptist Church, she was also a graduate of Dawson County High School and had held many jobs throughout her life. She worked very hard for her community and the most important part of her life was her family. Maude was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Dosha Burt; husband, Warren G. Harben; grandchildren, Danielle Harben, Jason Harben; daughter-in-law, Janice Harben; sisters, Shirley Jean Cofield, Betty Jo Arrendale, Vaudell Stephens; brothers, Samuel Burt, Merlin Burt.
Surviving are her children, Shirley Ann Ware of Walton County, Danny Harben (Geralden) of Dawsonville, Sammy Harben (Cyndi) of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Roxanne Kent (Teddy), Sam Duff (Amy), Tyler Harben, Emily Harben (Trent), Nikki Martin (Heath); sister, Dora Arrendale; brother and sister-in-law, J.M. Burt (Marie); 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday May 29, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Juno Baptist Church. Rev. Brody Hughes, Rev. Dennis Bottoms, and Rev. Tim Biddy will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday May 28 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
