Alma Frances McNeely

Mrs. Alma Frances McNeely, 79, of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on November 23, 1942 in Franklin, GA, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Chester Brown and the late Thelma Ann Gladney Brown.

She was a seamstress for over 40 years, designing clothes as a profession and hobby. She enjoyed much of her professional life working with her loving husband as she designed clothes while he maintained and fixed the machinery. She lovingly made clothes for all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McNeely was preceded in death by her husband, William Emory McNeely and sister, Betty Daniel.

Mrs. McNeely is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Curtis and Jennifer McNeely of Demorest, Chris and Erin McNeely of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Elizabeth and Don Welborn of Alto; sister and brother In law, Anne and Danny Burke of LaGrange; grandchildren, Wade McNeely, Will McNeely and fiancé Emily Bradley, Chance McNeely and fiancé, Cierra Moger, Jackson McNeely, Sam McNeely, Maverick McNeely, Daniel McNeely, Caleb McNeely, Cagney and Doug Meads, Meaghan Welborn and Caine Taylor, Devin Welborn and Kelsie Gray, Dillon and Kelly Welborn; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Anderson, Bryson Anderson, Charlie McNeely, Camden Meads, Gray Meads, Hollis Meads, Laken Welborn, Nora Welborn, Clayton Welborn, Sage Taylor and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
