Mr. William Howard Dean, age 83 of Toccoa passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at his residence.
A son of the late Harold E. Dean, Sr. and Mary Viola Adams Dean Buchanan, he was born February 6, 1939, in Blue Ridge, Georgia having lived most of his life in Toccoa. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne 325 Honor Guard. He owned and operated his own insurance agency for many years and was a member of Lamar Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Barron Dean in 2014 and Richard Dean in 2015.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Sandra Ballew Dean; son, Michael Dean of Toccoa; grandchildren, Christian Dean, Jada Dean and Karli Dean; great-grandson, Sawyer Barron Dean; brother, Charles Daniel Buchanan of Suwanee, Georgia; sister, Sarah Eulene Breedlove of Loganville, Georgia.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 27, 2022, 3:30 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Chad Holcomb officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Christian Dean, Mark Parris, Mike Trautner, Mike Dean, Dalton Duke, Lee Malone and David Bell.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
