Rev. Jeff L. Gailey, 86, of Talmo, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Anderson and Rev. Jeffery Gailey will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on February 11, 1936 in Pickens, SC, he was the son of the late Wayne Gailey and the late Rita Whitmire Gailey. Rev. Gailey was retired from New Holland Mill where he worked in the Maintenance department. He owned and retired from Jeff’s Small Engines. He was in the Ministry for 60 years.
Rev. Gailey was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of Clermont Pentecostal Lighthouse where he was Pastor Emeritus. He also pastored Community Chapel C.H. Church, Murrayville C.H. Church, Faith Tabernacle C.H. Church, Helen C.H. Church, and Crossroads Holiness Church. He organized Faith Tabernacle and Clermont Pentecostal Lighthouse.
The family would like to Thank Hospice of Northeast Georgia and Brandon Gailey for the great care given to Rev. Gailey.
In addition to his parents, Rev. Gailey was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Mildred Gailey, Randall and Irene Gailey, Leroy and Dottie Gailey, Tommy and Madge Gailey, Herman Gailey; sister, Dorothy Lou and J.W. Thomas and grandson, Dustin Nicholas Gailey.
Rev. Gailey is survived by his wife of 63 years, Glenda Moon Gailey of Talmo; sons and daughters in law, Rev. Jeffery and Nita Gailey of Talmo, David and Lisa Gailey of Lula, Phillip and April Gailey of Gainesville; sister in law, Barbara Gailey of Cornelia; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
