Deveret Lee Bond

Mr. Deveret Lee Bond, 63, of Gillsville, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Emory University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Darryl Womack and Rev. Ralph Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 23, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on February 21, 1959 in Commerce, he was the son of the late David Lorenzo Bond and the late Florence Nelle Kimsey Bond. Mr. Bond was employed with Fieldale Farms where he was the Coordination Manager. Mr. Bond was a member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church.

Mr. Bond is survived by his wife, Jackie Chitwood Bond of Gillsville; daughter, Becky Bond of Jefferson; son and daughter in law, Michael and Sabrina Bond of Lula; brothers and sisters in law, David and Anita Bond of Lula, Denver and Kathy Bond of Gillsville; grandchildren, Cayden Bond, Callie Bond, Cason Bond; nieces, Misty and Jeff Perry, Kimberly Nelson, Lori and Jonathan Sandoval and several great nieces and great nephews and other loving friends.
