Earl Evans Power

Mr. Earl Evans Power, 87, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Jeff Wilkie, Rev. Chris Webb and Donnie Adams will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall.

Born July 5, 1934 in AL., he was the son of the late Gus and Thelma Goodroe Power. Mr. Power was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired as warehouse manager of Michelin Tire. He was also a taxidermist.

Mr. Power is survived by his wife, Beverly Wiley Power of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Marjorie and Sam Sharp of Gainesville, Patricia Melendez of Gainesville; brother and sister in law, James A. and Kaye Power of Canton; grandchildren, Tonya and Robert Sykes, Jake and Leslie Corley, Taylor and Christine Young; great-grandchildren, Bonnie Tallant, Caleb Tallant, Kenzie Corley, Maci Corley; nieces, Terri Hill and family, Elaine Riley and family; and a number of other loving relatives.
