Clint Weathers, 49, of Greenville, SC, formerly of Buford, GA, died suddenly Thursday, May 19, 2022. Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Danny Newbern will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Mauldin Recreation Center, Baseball Program (PO Box 249, Mauldin, SC 29662), in memory of Clint.
Clint was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis and Ruby Weathers, Roscoe Humphries, and Gloria Marshall. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Michelle Weathers of Greenville, SC; children, Felicia Elkins (Colby) of Savannah, GA, Angel Limon of Greenville, SC, Kyle Weathers of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Sadie Elkins and one on the way; parents, Ricky and Patricia Weathers of Buford, GA; brother, Jason Weathers of Buford, GA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linn Copen-Espinoza and Charles M. Espinoza of San Diego, CA; aunts and uncles, Debbie Peavy, Mike and Deborah Humphries, Ronnie Humphries, Paul and Terry Humphries, Bobby and Shirley Weathers, Ralph and Martha Fouts; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Clint was born in Buford, GA, was a graduate of North Gwinnett High School, Class of 1991 and attended Georgia Tech for 2 years. He was the regional warehouse manager for Anixter and had been with the company for 27 years. Clint dedicated much of his time to the children’s sport and rec league and travel ball at the Mauldin Recreation Center in Mauldin, SC. He enjoyed working with at risk youth in the baseball community. His love of sports started when he was young at the Greater Buford Athletic Association here in Buford, GA. Clint was a loving father, husband, son and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
