Jimmye Elizabeth Foster Aaron

Obituary Date: Wednesday, May 18, 2022

Jimmye Elizabeth Foster Aaron, 84 of Gainesville passed away May 18, 2022 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville Campus.

Jimmye was born July 11, 1937 in Star, North Carolina.  During the time her father, Louis Foster was serving in World War II.  Jimmye and her mother, Marion Foster lived in South Carolina after the war they moved to Gainesville, and Gainesville continued to be home.  Jimmye was a 1955 graduate of Gainesville High School where she was elected class leader and No. 1 in the beauty section of the annual.  Jimmye attended Women's College of the University of North Carolina and graduated from Brenau College, Cum Laude with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.  After graduation in 1959 she married her high school sweetheart, Tommy Aaron- the golfer.  After teaching school in Florida and Georgia, she joined her husband on the PGA tour.

Jimmye was a member of Grace Episcopal Church where she had served as President of United Episcopal Women, and chairman of the Brass Guild.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Aaron, Gainesville,  her son, Tom Aaron, Los Angeles, California, her daughter Lynn Aaron Neeck, son-in-law, Jeff Neeck, grandsons, Aaron Neeck and Brandon Neeck, granddaughter, Natasha Neeck of New York.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial gifts be made to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
